One moment (or two)

It was a beautiful sunny summer day. A slight breeze cooled the potential heat. People came from all over to the tent in the back field. Hot dogs and hamburgers had been grilled, and the aroma hung in the air. People were extremely cordial. They laughed a lot, as did I. Bug spray and sun screen, children's voices enjoying the pool. I addressed the throng with with the taste of frosting in my mouth and the reverberation of Happy Birthday in my ears. For these moments, it seemed to be only me that mattered, and I was alive... but then there is another moment.

My love had just awakened from a nap on the day bed, and now we sat, side by side, in the sunny room, Celtic Treasures playing in the back ground, embracing, holding each other, knowing, caring, loving. This moment without end!
